CRIA, da Universidade do Algarve, representado na Conferência Europeia PATLIB 2025 pelo segundo ano consecutivo.
O CRIA – Divisão de Empreendedorismo e Transferência de Tecnologia da Universidade do Algarve, através do seu Gabinete de Apoio à Promoção da Propriedade Industrial (GAPI) — reconhecido como Centro PATLIB pelo Instituto Europeu de Patentes (EPO) e ponto de contacto do Instituto Nacional da Propriedade Industrial (INPI) — foi, pelo segundo ano consecutivo, convidado a marcar presença na Conferência Europeia PATLIB 2025, organizada pelo EPO.
A edição deste ano é gratuita e realizar-se-á em Viena, nos dias 3 e 4 de julho de 2025. No entanto, será transmitida em formato online para todos os potenciais interessados.
A representação da Universidade será assegurada pela Doutora Sofia Vairinho, oradora convidada no painel «Outreach and Cooperation of the PATLIB Centres», que contará ainda com representantes do EPO, da WIPO – Organização Mundial da Propriedade Intelectual, do PATLIB Alicante/LatAm IP SME Helpdesk, entre outras entidades de referência internacional.
Esta participação reforça o papel ativo do GAPI da Universidade do Algarve na promoção da transferência de conhecimento, da valorização da propriedade industrial e no apoio ao ecossistema regional de inovação, com especial enfoque na colaboração entre academia e setor empresarial.

CRIA from the University of Algarve represented at the PATLIB 2025 European Conference for the second consecutive year.
CRIA – Division of Entrepreneurship and Technology Transfer at the University of Algarve, through its GAPI – Industrial Property Promotion Support Office, officially recognized as a PATLIB Centre by the European Patent Office (EPO) and liaison for the Portuguese Institute of Industrial Property (INPI), has been invited for the second consecutive year to participate in the PATLIB 2025 European Conference, hosted by the EPO.
This year’s edition is free and will take place in Vienna, on July 3 and 4, 2025. However, it will be broadcast online to all potential interested parties.
The University will be represented by Dr. Sofia Vairinho, an invited speaker on the panel «Outreach and Cooperation of the PATLIB Centres», alongside representatives from the EPO, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the PATLIB Alicante/LatAm IP SME Helpdesk, and other leading international institutions in the field of intellectual property.
This participation underscores the active role of UAlg’s GAPI in advancing knowledge transfer, industrial property awareness, and supporting the regional innovation ecosystem, with a focus on strengthening connections between academia and business.
